Analyzers
There are a number of different keyword
analyzers on the market. But which one should you
choose?
This is what most beginners find confusing. After all, a
number of keyword generators also include keyword analyzer
facilities within the package. Knowing which one will suit your
needs, however, can be difficult because this will depend
entirely on what your objectives are and what kind of data you
wish to extract from a given software.
For example, if you merely want to search the more popular
keywords or phrases for use on your website or to help choose
your domain name, then having a program that has all the bells
and whistles incorporated into it may be a waste of your money.
But as you must know, by now, if you are to establish a
successful business online, you will need more than the basic
keyword search and analysis software.
A number of keyword analyzers will also offer you data related
to the competition there is for each keyword and/or phrase. Yet
more will offer you the number of searches done on more than
one search engine. One or two are intended primarily for
Adwords (PPC) advertising and others are intended for Adsense
advertising, even though each of these two types may offer
valuable information on other data. So you see, not all
keyword analyzers are equal!
What you need to do is work out which function or functions you
are likely to need on a regular basis to get the most out of
the software. It may be that you'll need to use all of them at
some point. If the latter is the case, then it may pay you to
try out each and every one of them (free trials are available
on most, if not all of them) before you commit to one or
more.
If money is tight, but you want to use the features of one at
one time and another at another time, because you may want an
Adsense website and you may, also, want to know the best
keywords to use in Adwords advertising, then opt for just one
day's subscription or one week's subscription, only, instead of
subscribing on a regular monthly basis.
To get the most out of this strategy, plan your research in
advance, long before you subscribe, particularly for one day's
session. Say, for example, you are planning on building one or
more websites in your chosen niches. First, brainstorm possible
keywords that you might use if you were
searching the Internet for your kind of
website. Then key in your short-listed keywords on
Inventory.Overture.com's free
keyword search tool (assuming it has been resurrected) or
another free keyword generator tool to see if your
short-listed keywords have been used by anyone during the
past 30 - 90 days. If your brainstormed keywords have not
been used, or if they have been used only a few times in
the period, then you might like to consider related words
or phrases that may have produced for you. Once
you've selected your keywords, then carry out a more
detailed analysis using any one of the four commonly used
keyword analyzers. The information links for these are
given below for your convenience.
