Word Tracker Review
Great Keyword Analysis Tool
This overview of Word Tracker (Wordtracker) is deliberately kept simple to help non-technical and beginners to understand the
benefits that can be derived from using this tool to build up a creditable list of keywords for use for domain names as well as website
content.
Wordtracker or "Word Tracker" is a fantastic software. Very easy to use, even for a
complete beginner. It has a simple user manual but I doubt that you will need to spend more than a few minutes scanning the content because it is
clear to see what you need to do. The instructions which are easy to follow are given on each dialogue box or interface.
If you use the trial package, you will be limited to generating only 30 keywords for each word you key in. You
will also be limited to using the AltaVista search engine for the competition numbers. So you will not be able to assess the full
potential of the package or determine how big or small the competition for that keyword or phrase might be since AltaVista is not as
popular a search engine as MSN or Yahoo, let alone Google which is believed to be most popular of all search engines.
The full version produces 300 keyword suggestions, initially, and then up to 500
keywords per suggestion. When you "dig" further with each suggested keyword in order to get more keywords and phrases, Wordtracker will produce
even more keyword suggestions. So you could end up with many thousands of really useful keywords.
You can load this list to the keyword analysis page on Wordtracker (just one click away) to see how many competitors there are in
Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines (full version). Once satisfied with your results, you
can email your list of keywords to your email address and then import and save the data in an Excel file or text editor on your PC for your
future reference.
After the trial period, should you wish to continue using Wordtracker you will be charged a monthly subscription fee. If you are
likely to use it heavily, ie daily, then it may well be worth your while to invest in it.
However, if you intend using it occasionally - say once or twice a week - then you may find it a little pricey. So you may want
to consider alternative keyword generator tool software programs one of which includes Wordtracker, Keyword Discovery and Overture keyword
suggestion capabilities combined in its package.
